It is general knowledge that the activities of oil producing companies affect the environment and the health of the people living within the immediate vicinity of the crude oil exploration and production. The attendant hazards may trigger processes that may have adverse effects on the ecosystem of such areas.
Environmental stewardship is a corporate responsibility that Birene’s management and employees take very seriously. Birene intends to work proactively with regulatory agencies to ensure that it meets and in many cases exceeds the standards with respect to environmental compliance.
Upon acquiring an asset, Birene will first allocate a budget to Safety, Health and Environment (SH&E). Safety rules and meetings will be implemented for all employees and vendors. Environmental work includes cleanup of waste and hazardous materials, mechanical integrity testing and spill control systems. The upgrades provide a safe workplace, as well as ensure that sound environmental practices are being followed.
